There is a really cool theater just up the street from our store. They show all kinds of indie films and some mainstream ones as well.
Last Saturday night they had Grease Sing Along. That's right! The original 1978 Grease, only better. I had a blast. It didn't matter how well or not you could sing, everyone belted out their favorite songs.

squid dogs....

So I made these a while back and the kids loved them. I found a similar idea in some magazine but don't remember which one.
Here goes.....super easy and the kids liked helping make them.

Start with spaghetti and hot dogs. You need 4 strands per half dog, so 8 strands per dog.

Trim the round ends off the hot dogs and then cut remaining dog in half. Poke 4 strands of spaghetti through each half dog until an even amount is sticking out each end. Then just boil until spaghetti is done.

Voila! Squid dogs for the kids to enjoy.

My kids ask for these a lot. Have fun!

Okay, I know, I suck. I've been absent for almost a week. I don't really have a GOOD excuse but my camera has been needing a battery that took me 4 days to buy so that's what I'm claiming for now.

Alright I found this interesting tutorial...don't know if it works or not but I'm going to try it...with all these crazy kids I can tell you we have several dvd's that need a little help.

day 58..... a funny

Okay, so here is my funny......sorry it happened so fast that I couldn't get a picture, just picture it in your head.
m and s were playing on the floor by the central vacuum hole (this after just having beaten each other up for possession of said hole) . Well m had stuffed a diaper wipe in the hole and was trying to get it back out before s took it from him. There is a small button on the inside of the hole that starts the suction and m accidentally pushed it and the thing sucked his wipe down and made a loud noise. Those two jumped up so fast and started pointing and talking...it was hilarious. They couldn't figure out what happened or how.
I wanted to laugh to bad but had to keep a straight face and tell them 'danger'. That will keep them away from it for about a day at best.

What I paid for it: It retailed originally for around $85, but I found it on sale for 70% off. So, I guess I paid around $25 including tax.
